Up smash also hits in front of and above Little Mac, and also grants super armor, similar to his up special.
While he does have a few aerials that come out very quickly, such as neutral and up air, they don't grant much benefit when using them, and should largely be avoided. However, beware that the move will only hit opponents above or right in front of Little Mac, so it won't be able to hit spaced opponents, and whiffing it leaves him very vulnerable. On the one hand, he has Rising Uppercut (up special), which comes out extremeley quick (3 frames), grants intangibility, and can even KO. Little Mac's poor aerials make his out of sheld game somewhat of a mixed bag.

Little Mac's Strengths and Weaknesses Strengths Still, if you can bair and punish your opponent, and mostly stick to stages like Final Destination where there are no platforms, you may have some success with this volatile ground fighter. Lack of a projectile and aerial ability also means that he fairs poorly against characters with projectiles, as he is very prone to getting camped out. In addition to having one of the worst recoveries in the game (Up Special), Little Mac's aerial attacks are all weak and have poor game, so he has little reason to ever not fight opponents on the ground. There are also a few good archives people have posted here but that aren't on conventional rom sites. RomHustler is also pretty decent, but only use it if you have a good ad-blocker (I recommend uBlock Origin if you're on Chrome or Firefox) they sometimes get those ads that try to pretend to be a download button, so it's best to put the kibosh on them before you end up downloading something you shouldn't. DopeRoms is also quite good, but their layout is a bit messy and I've come across a few games there that don't match their official checksums (indicating bad dumps and/or hacked roms).

The ROM Depot offers both individual games and full sets for many different systems, as well as quite a few scans of different game manuals. It has games from many obscure systems as well as the more well-known ones, and also seems to have decently fast download speeds. The Eye is a newer site and growing very quickly.
Apparently NicoBlog even offers full ROM sets rather than having to download things individually, if you want. NicoBlog and its sister-site CDRomance have incomplete collections, but seem to have a lot of stuff I can't find elsewhere.

In fact, I don't think they even have ads, let alone viruses, and they have a collection of manual scans as well! Unfortunately, they only have US releases (and some fan-translated games, but no European or unpatched Japanese releases).
Vimm or The Eye are probably the best places for Melee, specifically, but the rest of the list is useful to have for future reference. I'm mostly quoting myself here, but these are the best places I've found for getting roms in general and most of them have GameCube games.
